Does your burnishing pad STINK?
What's
that smell when I'm burnishing my floors? It
smells like burning hair. Well, that's exactly
what your smelling. The high rotations per minute
or r.p.m.s on your standard burnisher creates
significant friction which in turn creates heat
that actually burns the natural hairs in the
burnishing pad. Also, natural horse and hog
hair pads can be inconsistent in there make
up / manufacture. You see, animals will naturally
shed their hair during specific time periods
throughout the year. Well, in order to retrieve
the animal hairs for manufacture of the pads
the animals are groomed throughout the year
regardless of their natural shedding cycles.
Due to this, there is never a consistent make
up from the animals; therefore, the pads that
you used in July will be different from the
ones you used in December. What happens? You
get inconsistent burnishing results.
As we
all know, animals such as humans carry contaminants.
These bacteria could be in blood, tissue or
even hair. Since this is the case, there will
be some form of bacteria in the natural hair
burnishing pads. Wow, think of it. Especially
in healthcare settings, cleaning and sanitizing
is what the objective is in such environments.
There
is a new burnishing pad is made from Vegetable
fibers. Thanks to this we can now achieve, a
consistent texture and manufacture oyo f the
pads, and eliminate bacterial contaminants.
Remember
those high r.p.m.s well, as a result of the
friction we will actually produce a light fruit
aroma while burnishing. Sure beats the smell
of burning hair. The new pads deliver exceptional
performance, strong durability, longer wear,
and compatibility with all burnishing equipment.
You will be quite pleased with this new development
in burnishing pad technology.
