Area Task: A
specific cleaning task that can be associated with a square
footage.
Example: Dust Mop, Wet Mop, Vacuuming, ETC. |
Unit Task: A
specific cleaning task that would be associated by the number
of items rather than a square footage.
Example: Sinks,
Toilets, Chairs, ETC. |
| Proposal: Used
to define the complete costing for a building or groups of
all buildings. |
| Facility: A
single building or group of buildings that would be served
by a set of equipment. Separate
buildings within a grouping to be served by a set of equipment
should be considered as areas. |
| Area: An
area within a facility. Note each area within a given
facility that would have a different cleaning frequency should
be entered separately. Areas are always associated
with square feet. |
| Unit: A
item or group of items within a given facility to be cleaned.
These can be grouped by cleaning frequency, or identified
separately
to indicate their area. Units are associated by their
number of items not square footage. |
| Market: A
field to enter your customers business type and contact name. |
| Paid hours: Total
number of hours that a worker is actually paid for |
Productive hours: Total
number of hours that an employee is actually producing.
Example. Paid
Hours minus breaks, set up and clean up, paid lunches, and
any other paid personal time |
| Production hours: Actual
hour that it takes to complete a task or series of tasks. |
| Machinery and Equipment: Any
items you select for a specific task. All items pick may
be in one or more areas of a facility. Some of these
items that could be considered a capital investment
and would be depreciated. |
| Accessory: These
items could range from Machine add-ons to spare parts or
brushes. You could also include any item that would
be part of your initial start up costs that would be depreciated
(ex. Carts, buckets, etc.). |
| Area Chemical: A
product that is associated with a coverage rate. Coverage
rate would be associated with a square footage. |
| Unit Chemical: A
product that is associated with a coverage rate. Coverage
rate would be associated with amount of consumption per unit. |
Area Supplies: A
supply that is associated with a square footage.
Example: Pads,
Brushes, Mops, etc. These items will be related to
a entered square foot area. These items need to be
calculated by the number used per machine. |
Unit Supplies: A
supply that is associated with a number of units.
Example: Pads,
Brushes, Mops, etc. These items will be related to a entered
unit. These items need to be calculated by the number used
per machine. |
| Miscellaneous Supplies: These
supplies are any item not associated with an area, number
of units, or depreciation number. |
| Average Maintenance Wage: Hourly
wage paid to regular maintenance employees. |
| Average Project Wage: Hourly
wage paid to employees assigned to periodic cleaning tasks. |
Maintenance weeks per year: Number
of weeks that the facility is open and regular maintenance
cleaning tasks are performed.
Example: A hospital
or retail store may be open 52 weeks a year, while a school
may be open 45. This may also reflect the number of
times you are contracted to provide services.
Example: Bi-weekly
service or once a month. |
Project weeks per year: Number
of weeks that the cleaning projects are performed at the
facility.
Example: A hospital or retail
store may have project work being performed every night,
while a school or manufacturing plant may close for projects
during the winter or summer. |
